Embracing vibrant colours for your autumn wedding

Autumn is a season full of warm colours—think falling leaves, cosy bonfire nights, and beautiful sunsets over the Lake District fells. Bex and Keaton’s colour palette perfectly reflected this, with soft oranges, pinks, and peachy corals that felt both vibrant and natural, bringing a touch of autumnal heat to their special day at Holesfoot Estate.

Colourful autumn wedding bouquet

So much happiness in one image.

If you’re lucky enough to tie the knot in Autumn, you're in for a treat when it comes to seasonal flowers. One of my top autumn picks would always be dahlias. Once relegated to the allotment garden, these stunning blooms now offer us florists an exquisite palette of vibrant colours and varieties. For Rebecca’s wedding, her bouquet featured three different dahlia varieties, each adding a unique hue to the arrangement. Paired with soft garden-style roses, fragrant stocks, and garden-grown chocolate cosmos, Rebecca's bouquet – along with those of her bridesmaids – was a true celebration of the season’s beauty, something I aspire to in all of my work. Seasonal, natural, elegant.

I truly love the artistry and creativity that floristry allows me. Crafting bespoke floral arrangements for your wedding is such a privilege, whether it's designing the delicate bouquets and buttonholes or bringing large-scale installations to life. Immersing myself in both the small details and the overall vision are what makes me happy. The Old Barn at Holesfoot is such a stunning venue to style, the warm stonework, soft light and beautiful craftsmanship make it a joy to be in, and whatever your floral vision, it will come to life here for your incredible wedding day. Bex and Keaton’s ceremony space below was warm, intimate and a beautiful focal piece for their wedding vows.
